Jefferson County - MAPP for a Healthy Future
The Jefferson County MAPP Team worked through snowy weather on January 17th to discuss and deliberate over 50 community health indiciators, and ultimately identified the following as community health priorities in Jefferson County:
- Sedentary Lifestyle
- and associated health risks
- Behavioral Health
- provider shortage
- public perceptions
- drug/alcohol abuse
- Economic Impacts on Health
- poverty awareness
- population decline
- economic development
The Jefferson County MAPP Team met for the first time on November 29th at 7pm to identify the pressures affecting community health, and create a series of 'values statements' defining what a healthy community should look like for area residents.
The Team had representation from the following areas:
