Public Health Disparities
Public health problems such as access to affordable health care and incidence of disease and illness are experienced more frequently and severely by some more than others. Racial minorities, economically disadvantaged, those who are linguistically and/or culturally isolated, the self-employed - these groups may be less likely to seek care or have access to it, and may be more likely to suffer from certain illnesses than the average Nebraskan. Public Health Solutions is working to identify public health disparities in our district and work with communities to reduce them and improve overall public health.
