Ok it's really more like 18, but they're all good! And easy!
1. Buy

find products that are made from recycled materials
- shop at second-hand stores
- use reuseable bags for shopping
- avoid buying over-packaged things
- energy efficient appliances, high miles-per-gallon cars
2. Plant
- choose low maintenance plants that use less water and don't need chemicals
- plant trees to block sun in the summer and let light through in the winter
- consider replacing high-maintenance grass with other types of landscaping
3. Recycle
- cans, bottles, newspaper, office paper, plastics, anything and everything you can
- at home, school, work, everywhere
4. Reduce
- buy only what you need (helps the wallet, too!)
- eat less meat
- choose organic foods
- keep tires inflated and engine tuned to improve gas mileage
- drive less...walk or bike for short trips (good for the body, too!)
5. Share....your new good habits with others! Tell them how easy it is, and how important it is.
