Water Quality Information and Programs
Water quality is affected by a wide range of natural and man-made disruptions. Land use is one of the largest factors, encompassing agriculture, industrial practices and individual practices alike. Individuals can reduce their negative impact on water quality by avoiding the use of chemicals around the house, making sure trash finds it's way to a lined landfill or regulated incinerator, and keeping cars tuned up to avoid leaks. On a broader scale, people can reduce the amount of product-waste they are responsible for (making stuff usually uses up a lot of water, and puts out a lot of pollution).
