Waste and Recycling
Our planet is not an infinite source of raw materials for us to use indefinitely. If everyone in the world consumed at the rate we do in the US, it would take 5 planets to sustain us all - but of course we only have one. Part of living within the limits of our one planet means rethinking "stuff", and the way in which we extract, produce, purchase, consume and discard it. The 4 R's - Reduce waste, Reuse again and again, Recycle whenever possible, and Respect our environment - are simple illustrations of ways we all can preserve our natural resources and sustain human life on this planet we all share.

Click HERE to see what Public Health Solutions does to reduce our impact on the environment.
In 2006 PHS was awarded grant funds from the Department of Environmental Quality to establish battery recycling collection points across the district.
