PHS Press Release – PHS and BVCA Partner to Conduct Community Health Needs Assessment

February 21, 2023

Public Health Solutions (PHS) and Blue Valley Community Action (BVCA) have partnered to conduct the 2023 Community Health Needs Assessment, a survey conducted every three years to identify priority health needs and concerns in our communities.

This year, PHS and BVCA have partnered to conduct the survey, blending resources and expertise in order to produce comprehensive, data-driven results. In addition, this collaboration will ensure that all voices are heard, with processes in place to reach the most vulnerable and underserved populations.

Kim Showalter, PHS Health Director states, “PHS is excited to partner with Blue Valley Community Action in this very important work. Our organizations share a common goal of providing resources to the communities and individuals we serve. This is a perfect example of how partnerships can work to provide the best service possible to our communities.”

“BVCA is very excited to partner with Public Health Solutions to provide a platform that gives individuals an opportunity to voice what the true needs are in their communities and to help our organizations gain a deeper understanding of the communities we serve,” Shari Weber, BVCA Chief Executive Officer.

Counties included in the 2023 Community Health Needs Assessment are Butler, Fillmore, Gage, Jefferson, Polk, Saline, Seward, Thayer, and York. If you live, work, or provide services in these counties, you are encouraged to complete the survey.

The survey will remain open until March 22, 2023. Respondents have an opportunity to submit their contact information at the end of the survey for a chance to win one of 20 $50 Visa gift cards. Contact information will remain confidential and will not be linked with your survey answers.
